She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ervin Carter and Nellie Mae DeVinney Carter; and her brothers, John Wesley Carter, Donald L. Carter and Robert E. Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Sherri Gardner Broughton, Carmen Gardner Efird (Darrell) and Chris Nunnery (Kelly); her grandchildren, Sunni Nicole Gantt (Jason), Jared Douglas Broughton, Karli Grayson Nunnery and Carter Barron Nunnery; her great grandchildren, Eden and Fisher Gantt; and her brother Roy Baxter Carter. She is also survived by family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church (3731 Lynwood Dr, Lancaster, SC 29720). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, Youth Fund, 3731 Lynwood Dr, Lancaster, SC 29720.
