He is survived by: his wife Peggy Wells Cherry; his children, Audrey Franklin of Waxhaw, NC, Phylicia Cherry of Fort Lawn, SC and Elliot Cherry of Atlanta Ga; and his siblings, Emma Cherry of Powellsville, NC, Marie Cherry of Powellsville, NC, Dorothy Cherry of Suffolk, VA, Diane Cherry of Englewood, NJ, Dennie Lee Jr of Powellsville, NC, Donnell Cherry of Powellsville, NC, Adolph Cherry of Middleton, CT, Charles Cherry of Newark, NJ and Mack Cherry of Englewood, NJ. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
