He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob P. Smith and Ethel Eisenhower Smith; and his siblings, Fairy Thoman, Doris Hoffman, Jean Spinelli, Floyd Smith, Leon Smith and Glenn Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Smith; his sons, Jack Smith (Babby) of Charlotte, NC, Dennis Smith (Caroline) of Madison, TN and Dale Smith (Wendy) of Irmo, SC; his brother Dennis Smith (Chae) of Florida; and his nephew Dan Smith (Laurie). He is also survived by six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.
