He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Johnson and Mollie Phillips Johnson; his former wife Iva Mae Knight Johnson; his siblings, Jack Johnson, Clyde Johnson, Tommy Johnson, Rueben Johnson, James Johnson, Jr., Alma Watts, Ethel Catledge, Thelma Oliver, Evelyn Williams, Alice Catoe, Ruth Mathis and Ella Kos; and his great grandchild Johnathan.
He is survived by: his wife Melva Love Johnson; his stepdaughter Linda K. Lackey (Rickey); his stepgrandchildren, Brian Knight, Denise Hinson (Mike), Crystal Minelli (Robert) and Teresa Lackey; and his great grandchildren, Alyssa, Nathaniel, Cameron, Justin, Nicole, Kylee, Brittany and Mackenzie.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Dale Baptist Church (133 S Potter Rd, Lancaster, SC 29720). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorials may be made to Pleasant Dale Baptist Church Building Fund 133 South Potter Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.00.
