He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy McWhirter and Allie Harris McWhirter. He is survived by: his children, Bishop Robenia Hill of Lancaster, SC, Trina Culp of Charlotte, NC and Maurice McWhirter of Charlotte, NC; his siblings, Annie V. Footman of Columbia, SC and Ormand Lewis of Savannah, GA; and his goddaughter Doretha Belk of Lancaster, SC. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
