He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis "Doc" Adams and Florence Catoe Adams; his stepson Terry Baker; his siblings, Gene Adams, Wadell Adams, Crawford Adams, Juanita Peoples and Margaret Twitty; and his stepgrandson Timothy.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Eunice Adams of Fort Lawn; his children, Judy Adams of Wichita, KS, Timothy Adams (Debra) of Richburg, Joseph Adams (Gina) of Fort Lawn and James Adams (Amy) of Richburg; his stepson Keith Baker (Wendy) of Richburg; his sister Mable Peasley of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Shawn, James, Austin, Morgan and Corey; his great grandchildren, Maggie, Aiden, Aubrey, Dawson, Madi, Danica, Payton, Corbin, Ivana, Emily and Ashlynn; and his stepgrandchildren, Johnny and Samantha.
