She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Melton; her parents, Herman Hunter and Irene Wheeler Hunter; and her siblings, Morrison Hunter and Darlene Hunter Helms.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard Melton (Maria) of Columbia, Mike Melton of Charlotte and David Melton (Samantha) of Lancaster; her grandchildren, Tyler Melton (Selena), Kaitlyn Melton, Alec Melton, Drew Melton, Ella Melton and Bailey Peterson; her great grandchild Knox Peterson; and her pet Zeus.
