He was predeceased by: his sister Melissa Faith Laney. He is survived by: his parents, Harvey Ray Laney, Sr. (Sandy) and Brother Benji Laney (Mary Hopkins); his half-brother Harvey Ray Laney, Jr.; his stepsisters, Crystal Nelms (Greg) and Tonaka Duncan (Chris); and also Kathy Starnes Laney. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
