He was predeceased by: his parents, Susie Laney Sowell West and Dorch Lee Sowell; his sister Annie Louise Sowell; and his grandson Victor Todd Sowell, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Marcine Moree Sowell of Lancaster; his children, Victor Todd Sowell (Dana) of Lancaster, Gilliam Russell Sowell, Jr. (Tammy) of Lancaster, Hope Sowell Sims of Great Falls and Deirdra Phillips (Vance) of Lincolnton, GA; his siblings, Billy Frank Sowell (Donna) of Lancaster, John Lee Sowell of Marshall, NC and Betty Cauthen of Charlotte; and his grandchildren, Aaron, Dylan, Samuel, Isabella Sowell, Cameron Sims, Josh, Cale Phillips, Brittany Pedroza, Airyka Laney and Noah Rollins. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
