He was predeceased by: his parents, C. N. Simpson and Earlie Mae Howard Simpson; and his siblings, Kenny Simpson, Harry Simpson and Barbara Ann Marze.
He is survived by: his wife Debra C. Simpson of Lancaster; his children, Heath Simpson (Rachel) of Kannapolis, NC, Gabriel Simpson of Lancaster, Gloria Simpson Lambert (Jody) of Tega Cay and Kristin Simpson of Mt. Pleasant; his siblings, Lannie Simpson of Concord, Marty Pencie Motley (Harry) of Concord, Juanita Sharpe of Mooresville and Sheri Howard of Albemarle; his grandchildren, Brianna Simpson, Morgan Jones, Haley Simpson, Ethan Lambert, Peyton Simpson, Eli Lambert, Chandler Broome and Katie Lambert; and his great grandchild Brylee Wilhelm. He is also survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
