He was predeceased by: his parents, Conners Wright and Mary Lee West Wright. He is survived by: his wife Barbara H. Wright; his children, Thomas Franklin Wright, Jr. (Chrissy) of Lancaster, Angela Scarborough (Russel) of Lancaster and Tammy Tadlock (Gary) of Waxhaw; his siblings, Gene Wright of Lancaster, Chris Wright of Polkton, Lillie Mae Mullis of Monroe, Barbara Jo Belk of Jefferson and Annette Catoe of Lancaster; and his pet Ivy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
