He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Evans; his mother Hennie Evans; and his siblings, Eula Evans, Edgar Evans, Elvie Evans and Vivian Wentz.
He is survived by: his son Brian Evans; his caregivers, Valerie McKenzie (Rick) and Wynette Birchfield (Donnie); his nephew Marvin Evans; his close friends, Betty Adams and David Jordan; and also, Gracie Birchfield, Donnie Birchfield Jr. and Grady Birchfield.
