He was predeceased by: his parents, William Franklin Broom, Sr. and LuEdith Bland Broom; and his sister Vivian Broom. He is survived by: his wife Rachel Broom; his children, Mike Broom (Brenda), Steve Broom (Kristin), Misty Broom-Keenan (Charlie) and Frankie Strickland; his siblings, Charlie Broom, Jimmy Broom, Mary Perry (Len) and Sarah Harvell; and his friend Chris Burris. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
