She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Marsh and Joe F. Blackmon; her husband Melvin L. Alexander; her son Martin C. Alexander; and her brothers, Larry and Eugene.
She is survived by: her sons, Melvin D. Alexander and Derrick L. Alexander; her grandchildren, Martin Jr., Johnathon, Elijah, Amari, Jeremiah and Brandon; her siblings, Charles Blackmon, Michael Marsh and Ester Ruth (Susan Marsh); and her siblings-in-law, Shirley, Yvonne (Roy), Wilbert Sr., Ollie, Sidney Ray (Etta), Zelma and Ervin (Charlie). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
