He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Alva Cauthen, Sr. and Emma Mae Kelly Cauthen; and his siblings, Joseph Cauthen, Jr., Louise Copeland and Brindell Medlin.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Wayne Cauthen and Brian Cauthen (Rhonda); his grandson Caleb Cauthen; and his sister Desiree Edwards (Bill). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
