He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Olin Walter Pate and Susie Mackey Pate; his wife Cynthia M. Pate; his children, Emmett Wayne Pate, Rebecca Williams (Todd) and Amanda Gayle Starnes (Mitchell); his grandchildren, Katy Lynn Outen (Travis, Abigaile Williams), Jackson Williams, Annabelle Starnes and Wyatt Starnes; and his brothers, Clayton Pate and Clyde "Joe" Pate.
