Dorothy Sims Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Sims of Lancaster, South Carolina, who passed away on September 20, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Worth Allen and Annabelle Lavender Allen; her spouse Ira "Smokey" J. Sims; and her son Timothy "Punkin" Sims. She is survived by: her children, Janice "Tootie" Cole (Van) and Stephen "Steve" Allen Sims (Rose) of Westville; her sister Ann Catoe; her grandchildren, Sonya Sims Payne (Eddy), Casey McMackin and Ashley McMackin; her great grandchildren, Jacob Sims (Lexe), Christopher Sims (Stephanie), Jonathan Sims (Greer) and Emma Sims (Landen); her great great grandchild Knox Sims; her great grandchildren, Margaret and James Starnes; her sisters, Dora Allen Sullivan, Mary Allen Morgan, Sue Allen and Helen Allen Faulkenberry; and her stepmother Ethel Allen.
