She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Snipes and Alma Louise Mackey Snipes; her husband Edward L Smith, Sr.; her children, Betty L Smith Ashley and Edward L Smith Jr. (Half Pint) of Jefferson; and her sister Clydia Faye Snipes Hollingsworth.
She is survived by: her children, Wendy L Smith (Abel) of Catawba and Robert L Smith of Lancaster; her son-in-law Monty Ashley of Heath Springs; her grandchildren, Brent Ashley, Savannah Ashley, Victoria Smith (John), Iris Hall (Dante), Sgt Smith, Matthew, Madison Gregorio, Levi Smith, Tommy Smith, Cheyenna Smith, Tyler Smith and Patricia Jordan (Ben); her great grandchildren, Laila Ashley, Dino Drosinis, Ava Gordon, Dalton Ashley, Leeanah Miles, Hailynn Rivers, Braylan Smith, Ian Gordon, Elaina Smith, Addison Cook, Mikelle Bailey, Anna Smith, Royal Smith, Tasha Smith, Deaonte Jordan, Javon Jordan and Donovan Jordan; and her sisters, Annie Ruth Catoe of Myrtle Beach, SC, Debbie Robinson (Deb) of Lancaster, SC, Linda King and Jane Snipes of Taxahaw, NC..
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Friendship Baptist Church (1809 Bennett Rd, Lancaster, SC 29720). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
