It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Starnes (Lancaster, South Carolina), born in Monroe, North Carolina, who passed away on April 26, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel H. Starnes and Blanche Walden Starnes; and his siblings, Vance Starnes and Dorothy Couick. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Kirk Starnes of Lancaster; his daughter Angela Susan Starnes of Charlotte; his stepsons, Kirk Charles Hovis (Beverly) of Heath Springs and Russell Elliott Hovis (Wendy) of Lancaster; his stepgrandchildren, Hannah Denkins (Tyler), Peyton Hovis, Rachel Hovis and Colt Hovis; and his sister Margaret Kidd of Charlotte.
