He is survived by: his son Phillip Cauthen (Vickie) of Lancaster; his grandsons, William Cauthen (Brooke) and Josh Cauthen; and his sisters, Carol Cooke of Charlotte, NC and Tempa Welborn of Wilksboro, NC..
