She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Hazel Ghent, Sr. and Gladys Watson Ghent; her husband Joel Waters; and her siblings, Ernest Hazel Ghent, Jr., Roy B. Ghent, Peggy Bradley, Ruth Rowland and Betty Sanderson.

She is survived by: her son Lee Waters (Rhonda); her grandchildren, Mychal Waters (Cam) and Allyssa Waters; her sister Robbie Snipes; and her sister-in-law Lois Ghent. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
