It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Mathis of Lancaster, South Carolina, who passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Moore Pendergrass and Dorothy Pack Pendergrass; and her spouse Claude Bailey. She is survived by: her children, Craig Mathis (April) and Crista Mathis (Chad Treece); her grandchildren, Clay Mathis, Carson Blackmon and Hannah Mathis; her sister Ruth P. Petersen (Paul); and her brother-in-law Carroll King.
