She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee "R. L." Conley and Elizabeth Tate Conley; and her husband James Holt Smith, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, James "Holt" Smith, Jr. (Susan White) of Roan Mountain, TN and Liz Smith McNamara (Kevin) of Charlotte, NC; and her granddaughter Maeve McNamara.
