He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Blackmon and Cola Couch Blackmon; his wife Susie Steen Blackmon; and his siblings, Bobby Blackmon, Clifford (Blackmon), Gus Blackmon, Thurlow Blackmon, Jimmy Blackmon, Verda Knight, Polly Truesdale and Willie Mae Moore.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathy Beaumont (Danny Jackson) of Lancaster; and his grandson Jon Beaumont (Stephanie Crummie) of West Columbia.
