He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Laney Knight and Hallie Eugenia McManus Knight; his spouse Doris Faye Threatt Knight; his son Bruce Laney Knight; and his brother Carl R. Knight.
He is survived by: his children, Glenda Knight Steele (Fred, Wendell Eric) of Lancaster, Rhonda of Lancaster and Phillip Berry Knight (Melissa) of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Stephanie S. Howell (Tommy, Jaime Steele), Yolonda K. Funderburk (Brett, Dorian Knight) and Tory Knight; and his great grandchildren, Justin, Gracie Howell, Landon Williams, Trace and Talyn Funderburk.
