She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, McKinley Peoples and Ada Peoples Peoples; her husband Roosevelt "Boy" Burris; her daughters, Mary Lee Bacote (James) of Columbia, SC, Marjorie Simmons of Columbia, SC and Betty J. Hampton (Eddie) of Timmonsville, SC; her siblings, Girlene Peoples Mixon of Columbia, SC and William Peoples (Catherine) of Lamar, SC; her grandsons, Travis Hampton and Derrick Hampton; her nieces, Carolyn Simuel (Eugene, Sr.) of Gadsden, SC and Gerthina Mixon of Columbia, SC; and her siblings-in-law, Felix Burris (Mae) of Ann Arbor, Arthur Kennedy of Columbia, SC, James Marshall Burris (Joann) of Lamar, SC, Conree Kirkland of Ann Arbor and Mary Peoples of Timmonsville, SC. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews and cousins.
