It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joey Dorriety of Lamar, South Carolina, born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on March 13, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dorriety and Martha Wilkes Dorriety; his brother Wilkes Dorriety; and his granddaughter Courtney Stevens. He is survived by: his wife Sherrill Parnell Dorriety; his daughters, Tammy Windham (Mike) of Lamar and Mechelle Stevens (late Tony) of Lamar; his grandchildren, Chris Windham (Mary Beth), Joseph Stevens (Krystal) and Betsy Porter (Calvin); his siblings, Nita Anderson (Gary) of Lexington and Mike Dorriety (Ginny) of Timmonsville; and his mother-in-law Ruby Parnell. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
