He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Jackson (EJ) and Irene Kelley Snipes; his wife Hazel Raines Snipes; his children-in-law, Scott Parrott, Wayne Norris and Wanda Snipes; his grandson Mikey Snipes; and his siblings, Olive Newsome, Buck Snipes, Jane Easterling, Gerald Snipes, Dell Easterling, Pat Gainey, Sylvia Shepard and Shirley Snipes.
He is survived by: his children, Gail Parrott of Hartsville, Lynne Norris of Chapin, Harold Snipes (Becky) of Hartsville, Mike Snipes of Hartsville, Cindy Herring (Bryan) of Lexington, Beth Herring (Brad) of Hartsville and Jamie Snipes (Kim) of Hartsville; his grandchildren, Dana Parrott, Scotty Parrott (Ricki), Mel Norris, Jennifer Holleman, Gus Snipes (April), Jessica Rolfe (Matt), Stacy Parks, Michael Snipes, Robert Herring (April), Emily Patrick (Ryan), Sarabeth Griggs (Auston) and Caroline Herring; his great grandchildren, Ashleigh Chaplin (Thomas), Brooke Mixon, Cassie Carpenter, Landon Carpenter, Colby Parrott, Scottie Parrott, Tyler Norris, Tucker Norris, Brianna Holleman, Haley Holleman, Katie Snipes, Vena Snipes, Gus Snipes, Garris Rolfe, Sully Rolfe, Gracie Parks, Abigail Parks, Bret Parks, Brian Parks, Hayden Herring, Ava Herring, Baylee Patrick, Walker Patrick and Will Patrick; his great great grandchildren, Graves Chaplin, Mary Ellis Chaplin and Celia Chaplin; his siblings, Sue Walters, Buzzie Snipes and Ronnie Snipes; his close friend Winnie Stokes; and also Amanda Stokes.
