He is survived by: his parent Sudie Carter Copeland; his daughter Candyce Copeland Chapman (Scott); his grandson Dylan Chapman; his son Grier C. Copeland, Jr. (Bet); his grandchildren, Grayson Copeland, Peyton Copeland and Carter Copeland; his siblings, Janice Pigate (Jim) and Frank D. Copeland "Bud"; his wife Becky; his brother-in-law Aubrey Richardson; and his close friend Richard Bell.
