He is survived by: his children, Edward Woods, Jr. (Joyce) and Bernetha Witherspoon; his grandchildren, Patrick, Sr. (Haja) of Edward, III., Anthony and Jani Woods; his great grandchildren, Patrick, Jr., Jahari, Makenzie and Shai Woods; his brother Bobby Woods (Valerie) of Olanta, SC; and also, Joann, Gloria, Linda, Mary, Dianne, Erica and Betty. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
