He is survived by: his wife Karen Owings; his children, Caitlin Hinson (Eric), Mica Pewitt (Jeremy), Regan DeHaven and Derek Leslie (Julia); his sisters, Anne Owings Futch (Don) and Kate Owings Howell (Ben); his grandchildren, John David Pewitt, Eli Pewitt, Charlie Pewitt, Topher DeHaven, Olivia DeHaven and Aria Leslie; his aunt Kitty Mellor; his nieces and nephews, Alexandra Owings, Anna Howell, Leah Howell, Sean Futch and Michael Lucas Courtney Stanbery (Taylor); his great-nieces, Irie Stanbery and Adelaide Stanbery; and his friends, Tom Roberts, Ralph Williams, Rob and Cindy Fischmann.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the River Hills Country Club (1 Country Club Dr, Lake Wylie, SC 29710).
