With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janet Barbara Hook Floyd of Lake City, South Carolina, who passed away on November 22, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Janet Barbara Hook departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Janet Barbara Hook. Though Janet Barbara Hook may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her brother Bill Hook. She is survived by: her husband Howard; her daughters, Allyson Floyd Hill (Todd) and Ginny Floyd; her grandchildren, Reagan Hill and Lexie Hill; and her brothers, Dr. Charles Hook (Anne) and Robert "Bobby" Hook. She is also survived by several brother- and sisters-in-law, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Lake City First Baptist Church (135 S Church St, Lake City, SC 29560). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Lake City First Baptist Church, the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, or the Alzheimer's Association.
