She was predeceased by: her husband Deacon Walter H. Burgess; and her brother Willie Graham. She is survived by: her children, Renetta Burgess of Deerfield Beach, FL, Mary Johnson of Columbia, SC, Ella McAlister (Pastor Ray) of Lake City, SC, Walter James Burgess (Geneva) of Stafford, VA and Minister Herman Burgess (Michelle) of Darlington, SC; her son-in-law Calvin Johnson; and her siblings-in-law, James E. Burgess (Ruthie Mae) of Pompano Beach, FL, Jannie Mae Hall of Pompano Beach, FL, Grace Burgess of Deerfield Beach, FL and Violet Burgess of Brooklyn, NY. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, many special friends, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
