She was predeceased by: her spouse Capers Ashby Spring; her parents, Cleve James McKenzie and Launa Bingham McKenzie; her children, Cynthia B. Hunt and James "Ricky" Barnhill; and her granddaughter Misty Dawn Sanders.
She is survived by: her sons, Donald Barnhill (Wendy) of Turbeville and Robbie Barnhill (Scarlet) of Mountain City, TN; her children-in-law, Karen W. Barnhill of Lake City and Alvin Hunt of Roland, NC; her sisters, Annell Barnhill of Maxton, NC and Dorothy Mae Thigpen of Maxton, NC; and her stepchildren, Shirley Carraway of Barrineau, Debbie Powell (Bobby) of Pamplico and Carroll Spring (Queen) of Barrineau. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
