He was predeceased by: his parents, William Chapman and Ruth Nettles Stone; and his son Darwin Lenair "Spanky" Stone. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, David Stone, Jr. (Karen), Debbie Garrelts (Mike), Melinda Graham (Chris), Daniel Stone (Sharon) and Ruthie Marlowe (Terry); his stepchildren, Debbie Gray (Lee) and Kim (Leon); and his siblings, Tim Stone (Shirley), Kathy Stone and Linda Fennell. He is also survived by Neighbors, and Ronnie Lewis; 18 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Prospect Pentecostal Holiness Church (213 N Half Moon Rd, Lake City, SC 29560). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
