It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barney Lee Braxton of Lake City, South Carolina, born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on February 2, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Braxton and Gretchen Elliott Braxton; his siblings, Archie Braxton, Freddie Braxton, Lewis Braxton, Moody Braxton, Jimmy "Bo" Braxton, Virginia Braxton and Eloise Cutter; and his nephew Frank Braxton.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Baxley Braxton of Scranton; and his children, Michael Braxton (Linda) of Scranton, James Braxton of Coward and Renee Courtney (Marion) of Evergreen. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
