She was predeceased by: her parents, Barnwell Rhett and Marie Stewart Greer Chaplin; and her brothers, Barnwell Rhett Chaplin Jr., Edwin Greer Chaplin and Robert Warren Chaplin.

She is survived by: her children, Sharon Mixson Starnes (Kent), Nancy Mixson Davis (Ken), Leonard, Kenneth (Patricia) and Dennis Mixson (Barbara); and her grandchildren, Cassandra Starnes Teachey (Steve), Elise Starnes Key (Matt), Jonathan Mixson and Jessie Mixson (Elisha).
