It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Paul Hedges (Ladson, South Carolina), born in Lancaster, Ohio, who passed away on June 7, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Smith and Vaughn Hedges; and his sister Carol Ann Bussart. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hedges; his son Kristin Hedges; his daughter-in-law Brandi Whetstone of Columbus, Ohio.; his niece Michelle Jones of Columbus; and his great-niece Cassie Jones of Bethesda.

In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations to Smyrna United Method Church Helping Hands, St. Jude Research Hospital, or Habitat for Humanity.
