He is survived by: his children, Melvin Walker Filyaw of Las Vegas and Cheryl Filyaw Goodwin (Robert) of Goose Creek; his stepdaughters, Susan Burkheimer (Karl) of Goose Creek and Audrey Nabors (David) of Greer; his stepgrandchildren, Megan Cowan (Brian), David Nabors, Jr., Brandon Nelson (Beth), Krystal Nabors and Kelsey Johnston (Chris); his great grandchildren, Zoe and Kaylee Frankenberger; and his stepgreat-grandchild Jacob Smith.
