She was predeceased by: her father Leroy Gibbon Lowder, Sr.; her husband James Jackson Goolsby, Sr.; her son James "Jim" Jackson Goolsby, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Donna Lamb Holland; and her siblings, Leroy Gibbon Lowder, Jr. and Katherine Lowder Cales.

She is survived by: her daughters, Darlene Williams (Stephanie) and Charlene Sharkey (Paul); her grandchildren, Lauren Sharkey Sanderson (Matt), Annie Goolsby Abbott (Justin), Philip John Barker (Nicole) and Catherine Anne Sharkey (Aaron); and her great grandchild James Conway Sanderson.
