He is survived by: his children, Brian Caldwell, Eugenia McCullum, Veronica Caldwell, Eric Caldwell, Eugene Caldwell Jr. (E'Tiffany), Keeley Caldwell and Kimberly Caldwell; his grandchildren, Ta'esha Joyner (Darnell), Calvin Watkins, Khyree, Khylil, Khyon, Khyasia Caldwell, Shinelle Caldwell Elwin (Macdale), Jordan, Jared, Phoebe, Naomi Caldwell, Dylan McDaniel, Bryce Paschel, Donel Singleton III and Sebastian Kawula; and his siblings, James, Milton, Bessie, Wilson Jr. Caldwell and Loraine Caldwell Moss. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.

Viewing was held on Monday, October 7th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the W. M. Smith-McNeal Funeral Home, Inc. - North Charleston (2119 Dorchester Rd, North Charleston, SC 29405). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, October 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church (7396 Rivers Ave, North Charleston, SC 29406).
