He was predeceased by: his father Clarence L. Shortt; and his grandmother Annie Terry. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy L. Shortt of Ladson; his siblings, David A. Shortt (Lou) of Summerville and Brenda L. Shortt of Batesville, IN; his nephews, Mitchell B. Shortt of Columbus, OH, Jared Allen Shortt of Summerville and Hayden Matthew Short of Summerville; and his niece Krista Nicole Shortt of Fort Myers, FL..
