He is survived by: his children, Lavelle Higgins, Ben Brown, Jr. and Benzena of Washington; his grandchildren, Calvin Higgins, Larry Lawrence, Jr., Rashawn Edwards, Valencia Edwards, Lavelle Edwards, Davon Higgins, Michael Simmons and Tamika Ford; and his siblings, Margie Brown, Samuel Brown, Rena Coleman, Henrietta Davis and Betty May Ancrum.
