He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Farrell Wimpee and Connie Irene Myrick Wimpee; his wife Trisha Gayle Wimpee; and his brother William Wimpee. He is survived by: his sons, David Wimpee (Sunny) of Summerville and James Wimpee (Lynn) of Summerville; his grandchildren, Garrett Wimpee of Summerville, Heather Wimpee of Summerville, Sarah Wimpee of Summerville and Reagan Wimpee of Summerville; and his close friend Edith Kaufman of North Charleston.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to VA Department of Veterans Affairs, Wounded Warrior Project, or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
