He was predeceased by: his father David Porter James; his wife Jean James; and his brother Dale Rodney James. He is survived by: his mother Jacqueline Polk James Ranly of Ladson; his siblings, Lisa Arnold of Winder, Georgia and Harry D. James of Ladson; his aunts and uncles, Judy (Alfred Bazzle), Carolyn (Bill Ehney), Hershel (Betty Polk) and Azalee Polk of Islandton; and his nieces and nephews, Jessica Leigh James, Dana Rae Thompson, Joshua Arnold, Karie Marie Arnold, Davis Allen James and Timothy D. James. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Homes and Crematory, Walterboro Chapel (1193 Bells Hwy, Walterboro, SC 29488). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
