She was predeceased by: her father Deacon James Boykin; her husband Thomas Whitfield; and her siblings, Magdelena McClam, Mary B. Page and Joe Nell Boykin.
She is survived by: her sister Nancy Nelson Boykin; her sons, Terrence Whitfield (Mary) of Kingstree, SC, Marc K. Whitfield (Sherrell R. Cue) of Kingstree, SC and Thomas Whitfield II (Marilynn) of Fayetteville, NC; her siblings, Bennie Boykin (Normandine) of Greeleyville, SC, Bobby Boykin of Salters, SC and Janie Mae Venable of Boston, MA; and her sisters-in-law, MaeBelle Boykin of Greeleyville, SC, Dianne Whitfield of Salters, SC, Lula Mae Whitfield of Salters, SC, Deborah Covert (David) of Salters, SC and Leler Ferrell of Maryland. She is also survived by several aunts and uncles; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Family members are not receiving visitors at this time due to Covid-19.
