He was predeceased by: his parents, Addie Lockhart Hawkins and Jimmy Wright; his stepfather James Hawkins, Sr.; his sons, Tommy Lockhart, Jr. and Edward L. Lockhart; and his siblings, James Hawkins, Jr., George Henry Hawkins, Ruby H. Drummonds, Roberta H. Nance and Ruth Hawkins.
He is survived by: his friend John; his son Marc L. Lockhart (JoAnn) of Florence, SC; his wife Aleane Huell Lockhart; his children, Stanley C. Lockhart of Baltimore, MD, Maurice E. Lockhart (Monique) of Charlotte, NC, Jerry Fripp of Santa Monica, CA, Jacquline McKeithan (Timothy) of Raleigh, NC, Debra Gale of Bronx, NY and Bernadette Johnson of Raleigh, NC; his close friend Helen Robinson of Raleigh, NC; his daughters, Louise Washington, Sherry, Paulette Frazier, Loretta Anderson and Courtney Glover; and his close friends, Deacon, Deaconess Clarence, Janie Eversley, Queen Washington, Jimmy Frazier and Leroy Hugee. He is also survived by grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
