He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bernard Crooks, Sr. and Lillie Mae Pendergrass Crooks; his brother Kenneth Crooks, Sr.; and his stepson Lonnie Belding. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Smith Crooks; his son Tommy Crayton (Emily); his stepdaughters, Crystal Antwine (Ricky) and Sara Lawson; his grandchildren, Christina Brown (Nick) of Brad Belding, R. J., Hunter Antwine, Emma and Lily Crayton; his daughter-in-law Teri Hesler; and his siblings, Doris Benke, John B. Crooks, Jr. (Marian), Carroll Crooks (Teresa) and Clyde Crooks (Jan).
