She was predeceased by: her parents, E. Neiland Barwick and Ira Lee McClary Barwick. She is survived by: her husband Carl; her son Christopher Shirer of Kingstree; her brother Neil Barwick (Helen) of Florence; her parents-in-law, Jean and Carlisle Shirer of Salters; her siblings-in-law, Renee McCormick (Pat) of Kiawah, Janeen Rogers (Bobby) of Columbia and James F. Shirer of Columbia; her grandchildren, Damon, Maci, Noah and Connor; and her close friends, Sandi Hagwood Altman and Shelly Marcus Brenner.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Kingstree Memorial Gardens.
