He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Ray, Sr. and Frances Harrington Ray; his wife Faye; his children, Jennifer Ray and George Henry Ray (Amanda) of Scranton; and his siblings, Curtis Ray and Maybel McKnight.
He is survived by: his son Roy Christopher Ray (Carla) of Marshville, Wisconsin; his stepchildren, April Scott (William) of Camden, Rachel Scott Thompson (Dave) of Sumter, Andrea Hodges (Jerry) of Sumter, Sandy Neel (Doug) of Scranton and Wayne Curtis-Fox-Mixon of Florence; his siblings, Larry Ray of Georgetown, Johnny Ray (Marty) of Chambersburg, PA, Paul Ray (Debbie) of Manning, Frances Mouzon (Laurie) of Kingstree, Mary Shelley (Donald) of Andrews, Janie Branham (Jerry) of Greeleyville, Rosie Osborne of Salters and Doris Amerine (Steven) of Las Vegas; and his grandchildren, Alaina Ray, Olivia Ray, Christopher Scott (Kayla), Katie Johnson (Brandon), Aaron Harrison, Brittany Griffin, Sinclair Smith, Lisa Floyd and Emmett Floyd.
